Submarine Sandwich Sales

Our sub sales are normally held on the last Saturday of each month (unless it coincides with a holiday or some other scheduling conflict exists) at the fire station on Main Street. The sub sales are a long running tradition, with the first having been held in the early 1970’s. The submarine sandwiches (subs) are made with cooked salami, cooked ham, bologna, tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles on a 14″ submarine bun. The subs are available with or without onions and cost $5.50 per submarine sandwich.

$5 Pull Tab Tickets

For a $5 donation, you get a pull tab ticket that gives you the chance to win a $500 prize. Tickets are sold for each month. Winners are determined by the PA Daily Lottery’s Evening Drawing on the first Tuesday of the month. For tickets, contact a fire department member or the fire station at 814.535.1953.

Gasoline/Heating Tickets

Get a chance to win $500 towards your heating or gasoline costs. Tickets are available for a $2 donation and have two numbers per ticket; only 500 tickets are printed. The winner has the option to receive either a $500 fuel card from Sheetz, a $500 fuel card from Martin’s, or $500 paid to your choice of heating regardless if you utilize home heating fuel, natural gas, coal, wood, etc. Winners are determined by the PA Daily Lottery’s 7pm drawing. For tickets, contact a fire department member or the fire station at 814.535.1953.

Basket Party

Please join us for a basket party in the auditorium of the fire station. Baskets, door prizes, desserts, and refreshments will be served. All proceeds benefit the Franklin Borough Volunteer Fire Department to help with equipment, training, and operating expenses. Tickets are available for a $5 donation. Fund Drive

Our annual fund drive begins in early Fall of each year. It is important for you to know that our fire department receives very little municipal funding (see the charts shown above). Our budget is funded almost entirely from donations and fundraising events. Please support your fire department! Without your support, we would not be able to provide the level of service that we currently provide.

Member Events Calendar

Company Meetings*

Company meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month (except December) at 7:30 pm. The annual company meeting is held on the third Wednesday of December at 7:30 pm.

* Meetings are not open to the public.

Training Nights

Training nights are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Additional training dates and times are scheduled on an as needed basis.
