Franklin firefighters, along with police and ambulance personnel, patrolled the borough streets tonight during Trick or Treat in an effort to keep the children safe while they were trick or treating.

CVHS Homecoming Activities
Posted in Department News on Thursday, October 2, 2008 by franklinfireFranklin firefighters participated in the 2008 CVHS Homecoming parade and bonfire during the evening of Thursday, October 2nd. The evening started with a parade through the streets of East Conemaugh and Franklin, ending at a bonfire held at the Franklin Ballfield. Several fire apparatus (Engines 5-1, 13-1, and 17-2; Rescue 13-3; and Truck 5-1) provided lighting for the bonfire activities and Franklin firefighters provided fire watch duties until the bonfire burnt itself out.

It is important to know that our fire department receives very little municipal funding, which only pays for fleet insurance and worker’s compensation. Our budget is funded almost entirely from donations and fundraising events. Please consider making a donation in support of your fire department! Without your support, we would not be able to provide the high level of service that we currently provide.
