Just prior to 1300 hours, Franklin’s rapid intervention crew was dispatched to respond to a working structure fire on Franklin Street in Ferndale Borough. Engine 5-1 responded and arrived to set up in front of the residence while crews attacked the basement fire. Once the fire was extinguished, Engine 5-1 was released and returned to service at 1418 hours.
