CVHS Homecoming Festivities

Franklin firefighters spent the evening participating in Conemaugh Valley High School’s Annual Homecoming festivities. The evening’s events began with a parade through the streets of East Conemaugh and Franklin Boroughs, ending with a pep rally and bonfire at the Franklin Ballfield. Truck 5-1 and Squad 5-6 participated in the parade and then performed fire watch duties until the bonfire burnt itself out. Lighting was provided by Rescue 13-3, Engine 17-2 (a rescue engine), and Truck 5-1.

Former Engine Now Serving Argentina

The former Engine 5-2 (a 1982 Pemfab/3-D pumper/rescue) left Franklin in mid-September on its way to its new home. The rescue/pumper was sold via a dealer and will now be serving a fire department in the South American nation of Argentina. Below are some pictures of the former Engine 5-2 being loaded onto a flatbed truck and leaving on its long trip to its new home.
